Having honed his skills while working with industry leading tackle shops, John gained invaluable insight into professional rod building. This experience provided a solid foundation in the intricacies of rod construction and inspired him to take his craft to the next level.
Through careful research and a desire to innovate, John focuses on creating bespoke sets of custom carp rods and unique coarse rods, pushing the boundaries of traditional rod craftsmanship. Renowned for meticulous attention to detail, he uses only the finest components and has introduced bespoke multi material handle grips, reflecting his commitment to quality and innovation.
Hennessy Rods has developed internationally recognised and a global clientele, with creations reaching as far as Japan and Australia.
